École primaire de la Clairière, Boisbriand, Québec, 1997.

Programme intégration des arts à l'architecture, Ministère de la Culture et Communications Québec.

This work is composed of seven Laurentian pink granite stones, an egg shaped earth mound and seven oak trees.

The seven stones and seven trees represent the seven years of schooling at École primaire de la Clairière (kindergarten to grade 6). The engravings, or « glyphs », inscribed on the pink granite are directly inspired from images, found on prehistoric artefacts, that reflect creative energy and harmony with nature as well as cycles of regeneration and renewal.
